Breaking Barriers: The Unforgettable Night of ‘Breakthrough to Success’.
Picture this: A massive training hall, filled with the buzzing energy of nearly 800 participants forming a huge circle.
Each person clutched their own wooden board, inscribed with their deepest fears, doubts, and obstacles on one side, and their dreams and aspirations on the other.
The air was thick with anticipation – could they really break through?
To kick off this monumental evening, I chose an elderly, frail lady as the first participant.
I wanted her to be a role model of possibility for everyone else.
As I held her board, the noise around us was deafening, yet I heard nothing but the silent connection between us.
I focused on her eyes, sending waves of trust and love.
And then, with one swift move, she shattered her thick wooden board as if it were made of paper.
The room exploded with cheers, screams, and an 800-person group hug, her name echoing off the walls.
The energy was electric, and it set the stage for the rest of the night.
After her breakthrough, small groups formed, each person taking their turn to conquer their wooden barrier, while everyone else clapped and cheered, the energy and noise skyrocketing with each success.
This incredible journey began back in 2005.
After years of leading smaller personal development trainings, Vered and I decided to expand our reach.
We designed the Discovery Training, later renamed ‘Breakthrough to Success’, a three-day intensive course.
The only thing missing was the final, breakthrough process.
We debated fire-walking, glass-walking, and arrow breaking, but ultimately settled on board breaking, a powerful symbol of overcoming personal barriers.
To master this process, I turned to Brian Biro, the Breakthrough Coach of America.
Years earlier, he endorsed my first book, Elements of Success, and he generously agreed to teach me.
I flew to North Carolina, where he shared his wisdom over two intensive days, culminating in an unforgettable experience assisting him with a group of 2,000 restaurant owners.
Brian’s generosity was boundless – he refused any payment and instead treated me to dinner.
Our first pilot training with 40 advanced students exceeded all expectations, and since then, we’ve guided thousands through this transformative experience.
That night in September 2014, watching nearly 800 participants break their boards and their inner limitations, was nothing short of magical.
Vered and I, as co-trainers, witnessed firsthand the power of belief and community in an unforgettable evening that changed lives forever.
