Summer 2021 Highlights: A 60-Second Adventure.
Get ready for a quick, vibrant glimpse into our wonderful summer of 2021!
The video kicks off with Gerdy and me smiling away as we walk the scenic path to Pajsaje Lunar, a magical spot not far from home in Tenerife.
Then, it’s onto the garden where some seriously impressive cactus flowers are stealing the show.
We then zoom over to the new area we created between our property and Jan’s – a little slice of paradise we’ve been working on.
There’s also me standing proudly next to those gigantic cactus blooms.
Next up, Vered is in full harvest mode, drying a ton of our small, red plums (too many to count!).
So many fruits, in fact, that we had to get creative – drying them out in the sauna, which turned out to be the perfect makeshift low-heat oven.
You’ll also catch Vered and me setting out to climb Mount Teide, the highest volcano in Europe, ready for adventure.
And then comes the magic – a Monarch butterfly freshly emerged from its cocoon, hanging out on our balcony ceiling, followed by even more Monarchs joining the fun, landing on plants and even on my hand.
The video then takes a turn to the garden, showing off some giant zucchinis we grew – impressive, right?
You’ll also see ants busily pollinating the plants, and me cooking a whole meal for the first time using our very own banana leaves over an open fire in the patio fire pit.
And yes, even more giant zucchinis, cherry tomatoes, almonds, and plenty of vegetables straight from our garden – going directly from garden to plate.
Summer of 2021 was truly a summer of growth, adventure, and plenty of homegrown goodness!
