Our Dream House.
This photo was taken on April 21, 2014, our second day on Tenerife.
It captures one of the most significant moments in our lives: the day our real estate agent showed us the two houses we were interested in.
The house in the picture is the second one we visited, the one that captured our hearts.
As we arrived, the owners, Barry and Robert, warmly welcomed us.
They led us up the stairs from the front entrance to the living room on the second floor.
As soon as we saw the stunning view of the rolling pine forests and the ocean through the living room’s glass wall, we fell in love instantly.
We looked at each other and whispered in Hebrew, “How do we keep our faces straight so they don’t know how much we want the house?”
This was our dream house.
The picture captures a moment in the back garden. Vered is talking with Barry by the fish pond – a feature that I had always dreamed of having. The real estate agent (Ash) is standing in the distance.
We bought the house a few days later and moved in permanently 15 months after this photo was taken.
