The Island Escape I Can’t Stop Visiting.
One of my absolute favorite spots on the island is a place we discovered during one of our weekly adventures.
The place is called Los Silos Natural Ponds. It’s on the other side of the island, and just getting there is a treat—the drive alone is breathtaking.
The place itself is pure magic: a series of natural rock pools constantly refreshed by the waves.
The only downside? On weekends, it’s usually packed with people.
On February 2025 after 6 weeks away from the island it felt right to start with our weekly road adventures by visiting the place.
We got a late start because Yoni insisted on his daily bike ride (because, of course, priorities!).
As we drove, we braced ourselves for the usual parking chaos and the long walk to the pools.
But then—plot twist! As we got closer, the weather suddenly changed.
The wind picked up, the temperature dropped, and when we arrived… the place was completely empty!
Even the busiest pools, the ones that are usually swarming with people, were all mine.
So, naturally, I claimed them! Since I’m no longer bothered by cold water, I jumped right in and had an absolute blast. What others might call freezing, I call invigorating!
Later, while going through my photos, I realized we seem to end up there at least twice a year. And honestly? I think it’s too little!.
It’s one of those places that never loses its magic, no matter how many times we visit. 💙
