New Beginnings and Unexpected Turns: A to Z Wishes for 2015.
In keeping with our yearly tradition of creating a fun, lighthearted video to share our New Year wishes with our community, we were excited to make one for 2015.
We had just arrived – the three of us – ready to kick off our Christmas and New Year’s vacation in our new house in Tenerife.
But life had other plans.
Just two days after arriving to Tenerife, Vered’s father suffered a stroke, leaving him paralyzed.
Immediately, Vered flew to Israel to be by his side, and suddenly, Thom and I found ourselves navigating this unfamiliar home, feeling the weight of the situation but determined to keep the tradition alive.
Despite everything, Thom – our usual director, videographer, and editor – took the reins once again.
She stepped in front of the camera with me, sharing the screen as we went through our A to Z wishes for 2015.
It wasn’t just a video; it was a heartfelt effort to keep our spirits up, stay connected with our community, and find some light in a tough situation.
Looking back, that video became more than just another fun project – it was a reminder of resilience, love, and the power of tradition, even in the face of adversity.
