Blind Date: Our 26th Anniversary Adventure.
For our 26th anniversary, Vered and I decided to shake things up with a challenge – a blindfolded dinner at a beachside restaurant in Tenerife.
Inspired by a memorable dining-in-the-dark experience in Amsterdam, we set out to recreate the magic ourselves, as there’s nothing like that on our island.
The evening was a mix of excitement, intimacy, and laughter.
With our sight taken away, our senses of taste, smell, and touch heightened, making every bite an adventure.
We ditched the utensils and fed each other with our hands, turning the meal into an intimate and playful experience.
Finding each other’s mouths became a hilarious challenge, and gauging wine levels with our fingers led to even more laughter.
As we explored unfamiliar dishes, our brains worked overtime trying to guess what we were eating, sparking lively conversation and deepening our bond.
We knew we were providing some entertainment for the restaurant staff, but that only added to our fun.
This challenge wasn’t just about trying something new – it was about reconnecting, creating new memories, and savoring the pure joy of being together.
It’s a night we’ll cherish forever, and one we might just have to repeat!
