Discovering Body Brain Dance: My Journey to a New Way of Moving.
Around 2016, I found myself drawn to something unexpected.
After years of hearing about Avi Grinberg and his fascinating work, I finally met him through his ex-wife, and business partner – Lilu Grinberg, who was a student in our training programs. Lilu’s insistence on me mentoring the Grinbergs in order to help make the Grinberg Method a global success led me to Avi and his unique approach to healing the body.
One method that really caught my attention was the Stopping Movement technique.
It wasn’t just about moving – it was about how we move.
The method challenged our ingrained habits, encouraging us to explore new ways of using our bodies and, in doing so, reshaping our minds.
I loved its simplicity and its powerful effects on both the body and brain.
It felt like a dance, but one that required deep awareness and presence.
After many sessions and following the instructors training, I was inspired to take this method further.
I envisioned a practice that could be even more accessible and fun, combining Avi’s core principles with something fresh and engaging.
And so, the Body Brain Dance was born.
In collaboration with Avi and his team, we created a system that included custom-made music designed specifically for this practice.
The music became an essential element, guiding the movements and making the experience even more immersive.
We even developed a mobile app, filled with instructions and tailor-made sessions to make it easy for anyone to practice at home.
While the app faced some technical challenges and later was “killed”, the method itself became a vital part of my life and my approach to health and wellness.
The Body Brain Dance is not just about exercise – it’s about breaking free from the repetitive patterns that often trap us.
Whether it’s the way we sit, walk, or even think, these patterns can limit our physical and mental flexibility.
By constantly introducing new movements, the Body Brain Dance forces our brain to adapt and grow, creating new neural pathways and improving overall well-being.
What I love most about this method is how it helps me reconnect with my body in a joyful way.
Every movement is an opportunity to explore, to play, and to become more aware of how I move through the world.
It’s a practice that not only strengthens the body but also sharpens the mind.
