A Tale of Talent, Hard Work, and Dedication.
Thom was born to dance.
From the moment she took her first steps in the neighborhood dance class, it was clear she had rhythm in her veins.
Her moves were so impressive that, after just two years of local classes, her teacher suggested she audition for the prestigious Lucia Marthas School of Performing Arts in Amsterdam.
I had never heard of Lucia Marthas School, but there we were, on audition day, diving into a whirlwind of ballet, hip-hop, and performances.
Thom dazzled everyone and was accepted on the spot.
What I thought would be a weekly dance class turned out to be a full-blown commitment: three times a week after school and half a day on Saturdays.
My life just got a lot busier.
I was suddenly juggling pick-ups, drop-offs, and Saturday logistics, all while trying to manage my our workshops.
Thankfully, the universe sent me two guardian angels in the form of my incredible neighbors, Mercedes and Ilanit.
They stepped in whenever I needed a helping hand, becoming Thom’s second mothers in the process.
All the effort paid off.
Thom was now part of the top dance school in the country, which meant she was involved in all the major events in Holland.
She starred in “Kinderen Voor Kinderen,” a beloved TV program where kids sang for kids, for three consecutive years.
She even performed at Rotterdam’s Ahoy with Vanessa Williams, dancing to the musical hits like The Lion King in front of nearly 4,000 people at just 10 years old.
Those experiences were just the beginning.
Thom’s early love for being part of a team blossomed into a full-fledged passion for solo performances as she grew older.
Now, with confidence that matches her talent, she shines as the star of the show.
As I always say—She is the Dancing Queen!
